Luncheon Club

When - Wednesday 12:30pm

Where - Lincoln Baptist Church (find us)

Cost -£2.50

The Luncheon Club served its first meal on 7 May 1981 at a price of  60p for a main course, sweet and cup of tea. The Aim was, and remains: "Serving the elderly in the area around the church. To show Christian love and friendship as well as serving a hot meal".

Diners start arriving from 12 noon for a chat and lunch is served at 12.30pm.  We seek to show Christian love and support to those who comes week by week, many of whom, because of age, have varying needs.   Some of our diners have been coming for many years and appreciate the friendship we offer.

Anyone interested in joining us for lunch is very welcome.   Please contact Janet Green via the church phone (01522 575745) or by email at for more details.

When - Friday 11am - 12pm (every 2 months - next 21st September)

Where - Lincoln Baptist Church (find us)

We meet in the lounge area of church at 11am and have tables set out in a cafe style. You are served tea or coffee and a variety of savoury nibbles and cakes (often homemade) free of charge. After about 45mins of chatting at the tables we introduce the speaker who will give a short talk. The speaker chooses their subject so we have a variety of topics from personal stories of faith, reports on trips abroad, meditation on a Bible verse or poem. We are always encouraged by what we hear. Our meeting closes around 12 o'clock with prayer when we mention any particular needs which people ask prayer for.

Transport can be arranged if you need help to attend.
